Embodied Performing Arts Program

The Somatic Movement Educator Program is a twelve-course program that enables you to facilitate transformation and healing in yourself and others. This training qualifies you to register as a Somatic Movement Educator with the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). It provides greater depth and dimensionality to the practice and instruction of movement and therapeutic disciplines such as dance, yoga, physical therapy, martial arts, athletic training, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, child development, and massage.

The program is built in three interwoven phases of study

Identifying and differentiating movement patterns, anatomical systems, and psychophysical aspects of self.

Integrating those phenomena into a dimensional understanding of human movement and behavior in relationship to the environment.

Working with others in the embodiment process.

Certification is awarded on completion of the full twelve courses

Senses & Perception, Skeletal System, Organ System, Reflexes, Basic Neurological Patterns, Developmental Integration, The Ligamentous System, The Fluid System, The Endocrine System, The Nervous System, The Muscular System, and Professional Issues.
